All About my S/I and Byakuya Togami – Backstory, General Information, Drabbles, and Headcanons
A Small Note Before We Begin:
My S/I does share my first/ given name, Freya (her full name being Freya Andreatides); however, she will always be referred to as ‘S/I’ throughout any writings concerning her. Whenever this doesn’t occur is a mistake on my part. I only do this as constantly referring to her as “Freya” feels a bit too awkward when I am writing things out for me personally.
(I just have this ingrained reaction to cringe for some reason, it’s all to do with the environment I have been surrounded in previously. I do not give my S/I an alternative name as it feels too impersonal to me; using my name allows me to utilize self-shipping more effectively as a coping mechanism and a deterrent to my more negative thoughts I do not wish to dwell on).
A lot of this is just written as a Wikipedia article, more focused on informing a reader rather than entertaining a reader. However, there are character profiles for them in which is linked in the buttons below.

Small Note Regarding Green Hills (Byakuya’s canonical former high school):
I have said a few times previous S/I and Byakuya both went to Green Hills.
Although it’s not confirmed (from my knowledge), one can assume Green Hills is a Japanese-based high school, but due to how subjects function in Japanese high schools (and my poor comprehension of it) I’m going to make it use a European system and S/I and Byakuya can take a few classes together that allow them to grow a further familiarity with each other, vital to the development of their relationship in the future. This means Green Hills is now going to be based in Europe, specifically London for reasons I’m about to get into. (I promise this makes partial sense at least).
Like the high schools and colleges in my area, Green Hills (what I assume would be a prissy private school for rich people, ahahaha – only the best for the rich bastard (affectionate) Byakuya is) would provide education for students from Grade 7 through to Grade 13. Byakuya attends Green Hills from Grade 7-10 and S/I attends Green Hills from Grade 8-10.
Fleshing out Byakuya’s Established Backstory to Fit with S/I:
There is a lot said about Byakuya’s family structure, but a tonne that isn’t. He was the first youngest male in the family to win in the royale between all the head male descendants (his half-brothers), so I really doubt his father would even interact with him aside from paying for his living conditions before he proved himself being “worthy of the Togami name” due to the youngest half-brother never winning in this ‘battle’ prior to Byakuya Togami himself.
Considering canon says his butler is the one closest to him, I’m assuming he raised Byakuya, but we’re adding his mum to that too. I’m laying down that his mum is French, an explanation why specifically French is his second language and for his complexion. Considering his mum had to be influential, I’m just saying she is a fashion model. European fashion models often base themselves in London, which is where he lived and attended Green Hills until his attendance at Hope’s Peak. Since his mother is French and would know English as a second language (as they’re based in London), he’ll grow up speaking both French and English rather naturally. His Butler would teach him Japanese (which obviously reflects his father).
His mother speaks like what you would expect a rich, supermodel with a lot of power and flair would; a lot of teasing and a tad of belittlement (she is still a kind and caring person to her son Byakuya). Eventually, Byakuya would tend to just speak French when speaking to his mother. So, it’s pretty funny for S/I to just be in the room while him and his mother are talking in French, and she can only comprehend slight slithers of what they’re saying like “0-0”.
His mother is, however, away from the manor weeks at a time during the Green Hills time period, often out on trips due to model work. Byakuya will still grow up to become an arrogant, cunning man, no debate around that. But having at least some unconditional motherly love and care shown to him every now and then will make him able to not dismiss emotional connections completely as he does in canon before his character development (this is still some unnatural phenomena to him as he still prioritises himself and achieving the worthiness of the Togami family name above all else at the time. However, it does give him the emotional intelligence to comprehend the damage of his harsh upbringing and dehumanisation his father has put him through and can somewhat empathise with similar situations – specifically in being able to empathise with S/I).
He will be crowned head of his family when he’s 16 (Grade 10 for reference). He had to have been crowned that before the killing game started and considering the 2 years of wiped memories, it must have happened prior to grade 11. (Their Hope’s Peak years would be Grade 11 and 12).
